To shoot street or not to shoot street, that is the question?

Truth be told, I'm not much of a Street Shooter, most of the time I seek out musicians and buskers. They in turn form what little street shooting I do. That having been said, I do occasionally spend an evening here and there and give it a try. Till this evening, the last time was 7 or 8 weeks back when I visited Los Angeles. I had spent the evening roaming around the Grand Central Market, mostly shooting the folks who worked the place. I found them pretty numb to me lifting a camera up and shooting a few frames as the place attracts a lot tourist

Anyway, this evening I made an outing to downtown berkeley with the M240 and the M3. In one respect I find using a digital camera for night work, kind of easy. On the other hand using a 90mm f2.8 Elmerit with issues kind of averaged it out. The lens mainly has some issues around haze, which is causing most of the shots with any form of back lighting to go soft and fuzzy. I really should see if I can get this lens fixed

I also enjoy the lighting found in this Saxaphone repair shop everytime I pass it at night. M240 + 90mm f2.8 Elmerit
